Diversity Classrooms - While traveling abroad in Ireland, I helped students with their art projects in classrooms and had lunch with them. At a Youth Drop-In Center, I played games with students, participating in a large game of hide and seek while also ministering to them. Both of these experiences gave me the opportunity to view student learning in a different way and experience students who are from diverse cultures.
Diversity Practicum - My diversity practicum was completed at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, where I designed an inclusive lesson plan for students to learn about the Native American culture. The lesson plan included a field trip to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, where students would be able to immerse themselves in the culture through activities, food, and experiences.
The Mission - In Sighisoara, Romania, The Mission seeks to provide for children's needs. While in Romania, I ministered to children of the Gypsy Village through helping them with daily routines of showering, eating, and learning how to read and write. During this experience, I helped to build the school that the children would be attending.
